HANS KOCH (clarinet/saxophone) / THOMAS PETER (amplified objects) (SWITZERLAND)

Hans Koch
Hailing from Biel, reeds player Hans Koch has been a constant presence among improvised music’s global cream of the crop for over thirty years. In the mid-70s, Hans Koch quit his carreer as a recognised classical clarinetist to become one of the most innovative improvising reed-players in Europe. He has worked with a huge range of musicians such as Cecil Taylor, Fred Frith, Andrew Cyrille, Butch Morris and Shelley Hirsch, and has released recordings on ECM, FMP, Hat ART and Intact. Since the nineties he has been working with electronics as an extension of the saxes/clarinets.

Thomas Peter
Zurich's Thomas Peter works in electroacoustic music, laptop performances, improvised music, sound installations, theater music and the realization and interpretation of live electronic music.
His solo concerts are somewhere between improvised electronic music and multi-channel acoustic room-filling laptop performances.
