'Outsider artist' doesn't quite go far enough to describe OMIT who creates synthesizers out of cardboard wine casks, records conversations with automated telephone banking messages and composes masterpieces with 4-track cassette decks, all from his bedroom on the outskirts of Blenheim. His live performances are few and far between, and always mind-blowing.
